Boss Stylist Appointment Book
“I want to take a moment to introduce myself and tell you why I created the Boss Stylist Appointment Book.”
My name is Tenish Fordham, and I’m a hairstylist, entrepreneur, educator, and the founder of Fordham Hair Care.
I didn’t create this book just because I wanted to make another appointment book. I created it because I know what it feels like to build a career in this industry and realize that being a great hairstylist is only one part of becoming successful.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in different environments, build my clientele, work in Atlanta and Los Angeles, and learn from some incredible people in the beauty industry. I’ve also had the opportunity to work at Kim Kimble Studios, which gave me another perspective on what it takes to operate at a higher level in this business.
Being around talented stylists, celebrities, entrepreneurs, clients, and other industry professionals taught me something very important:
Talent can get you in the room, but professionalism, organization, business knowledge, and consistency can keep you there.
That’s where the idea for the Boss Stylist Appointment Book came from.
I wanted to create something for stylists that could help them not only keep up with their appointments, but actually build their business.
Inside this book, I included tools that I wish every stylist had access to when they were starting out—or even when they were already established.
There are sections for goal setting, sales and growth tracking, inventory, client policies, waivers, confidentiality, NDAs, color formulas, and other business tools that can help you operate your career more professionally.
Because being a Boss Stylist isn’t just about doing beautiful hair.
It’s about knowing your numbers.
It’s about protecting your business.
It’s about understanding your clients.
It’s about creating systems.
It’s about knowing your worth.
And it’s about being prepared for the opportunities that come with leveling up.
I created this book from my own experiences—the lessons I learned, the mistakes I made, the rooms I’ve been in, and the people I’ve had the opportunity to learn from.
I want this book to help another stylist avoid some of the mistakes I made and give them tools that can help them move differently in this industry.
Whether you’re a new stylist trying to build your clientele, an established stylist trying to get more organized, or a stylist who wants to take their career to another level, I created the Boss Stylist Appointment Book for you.
This isn’t just a book to write down appointments.
This is a tool to help you think, plan, organize, and operate like the CEO of your beauty business.
Because you’re not just a hairstylist.
You’re building a business.
And that’s what it means to be a Boss Stylist.
